Belarus must be free of nuclear weapons. This was stated by <strong><b>Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya<\/b><\/strong> while commenting on the nuclear exercises taking place in Belarus.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cLukashenka is once again putting the lives of Belarusians at risk. Step by step, he is dragging the country into nuclear blackmail: first, the \u2018nuclear-free\u2019 status was removed from the Constitution, then the delivery of weapons and the \u2018Oreshnik\u2019 system was announced, and now joint exercises on the use of nuclear weapons have been launched.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Today, Russia is openly stating (https:\/\/t.me\/dw_belarus\/19409) that its weapons are on Belarusian soil. And control over them will, evidently, remain in Moscow.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Propagandists call Lukashenka a guarantor of sovereignty. But how can someone be a guarantor of peace and independence when he has turned our country into a target for responses to the threats that Putin sends to neighbouring countries.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>There is no peaceful sky with foreign nuclear weapons. Belarus must be free of them,\u201d<\/i> the statement distributed by Tsikhanouskaya\u2019s Office said.<\/p>\n<p>As a reminder, the nuclear weapons training exercise has been taking place in Belarus since May 19. Russia is conducting nuclear manoeuvres simultaneously. As reported by the Russian Defence Ministry this morning, nuclear munitions were delivered to field storage sites as part of the exercise. Today, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/lukashenka-arrives-for-nuclear-exercises\">Aliaksandr Lukashenka<\/a><\/strong> arrived at the missile brigade\u2019s location, where he was briefed on the concept of the exercise.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There can be no peaceful sky with foreign nuclear weapons.
