China continues to increase imports of potash fertilizers, while prices have also risen compared with last year.<\/p>\n<p>China imported 5.81 million tonnes of potash fertilizers in January\u2013April, which is 24.7% more than in the same period last year. In value terms, imports rose by 58.5% to $2.09 billion.<\/p>\n<p>In April, China purchased 1.23 million tonnes of potash fertilizers, exceeding the figure for April last year by 10%. In value terms, imports increased by 37.5% to $438.06 million. Compared with March this year, supply volumes declined.<\/p>\n<p>Imports of potash fertilizers from Belarus in January\u2013April totaled $537.9 million, or 74.1% more than in the same period last year. Supplies from other countries also increased: from Russia \u2014 by 40.5% to $652.5 million, from Canada \u2014 by 69% to $371.9 million, from Laos \u2014 by 70.1% to $306.9 million, and from Israel \u2014 by 21.5% to $101.9 million.<\/p>\n<p>In April, Chinese buyers imported potash fertilizers from Belarus worth $128 million, which is 84.4% more than a year earlier.<\/p>\n<p>According to Chinese customs statistics, the total value of imports of goods from Belarus in January\u2013March increased by 17.6% to $796.4 million.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Supplies of Belarusian potash to China increased in January\u2013April, according to Chinese customs statistics for the first quarter.
