After returning, the man was ordered to repay the full amount of the benefits \u2014 nearly 77,000 Belarusian rubles, the Vitsyebsk Region Prosecutor\u2019s Office <a href=\"https:\/\/prokuratura.gov.by\/ru\/media\/novosti\/nadzor-za-resheniyami-po-ugolovnym-i-grazhdanskim-delam\/otets-propal-na-desya19052026\/\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The father of three had for an extended period avoided paying child support. A criminal case was opened against him, but the man left Belarus during the investigation. In 2019, a court declared him missing, as there was no information about his whereabouts.<\/p>\n<p>The Labour, Employment and Social Protection Department of the Orsha District Executive Committee began paying survivor\u2019s pensions to the man\u2019s children. Over six years, the total amount reached nearly 77,000 Belarusian rubles.<\/p>\n<p>Several years later, the man returned to Belarus. The court decision declaring him missing was revoked. A prosecutor then applied to the court to recover the amount of pension payments made to the children.
