Belarus is our ally, we have a Union State with Belarus. But it is a sovereign state. Therefore, such statements are nothing more than an attempt at further incitement aimed at prolonging the war and escalating tensions,\u201d<\/i> he said, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/tass.ru\/politika\/27444461\">TASS<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As previously reported, following a meeting on Friday with the leadership of the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff, military intelligence, the Foreign Intelligence Service and the Security Service of Ukraine, Zelenskyy said Russia was trying to draw Belarus deeper into the war against Ukraine and was considering plans for operations from Belarusian territory against Ukraine or a NATO member state.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cWe know that additional contacts took place between the Russians and <b>Alyaksandr Lukashenka<\/b>, aimed at persuading him to join new Russian aggressive operations.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>In particular, Russia is considering plans for operations in directions south and north from Belarusian territory \u2014 either against the Chernihiv-Kyiv direction in Ukraine or against one of the NATO countries \u2014 specifically from Belarusian territory.
