A Renault truck driven by a 55-year-old resident of Sviatlahorsk was stopped by economic crime officers, traffic police from Viciebsk and OMON officers.<\/p>\n<p>During an inspection of the vehicle, officers discovered about 20 tons of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal worth more than 35,000 rubles. The cargo was being transported without accompanying documents. The driver admitted that he planned to sell the metal in Russia.<\/p>\n<p>An administrative protocol was drawn up against him for the illegal export of scrap metal and metal waste.
