The identity of a deceased woman found in mid-April in a forest near Vitsyebsk was established using palm prints, the State Forensic Examination Committee reported<\/a>. The body was discovered near the village of Shevina.<\/p>\n

The woman had no identification documents. During an examination of the scene, a specialist from the State Forensic Examination Committee photographed the palms of the woman\u2019s hands, which made it possible to establish her identity. She was identified as a 46-year-old resident of the Vitsyebsk district.<\/p>\n

A forensic medical examination determined that the cause of death was a hemorrhagic stroke. An investigation is underway.<\/p>\n
