Prime Minister Alyaksandr Turchyn<\/b> has travelled to the Svetlahorsk Pulp and Board Mill. The government press service said the purpose of the working trip was to develop “systemic solutions to stabilise the enterprise\u2019s operations”<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Last week, a draft Council of Ministers resolution on allocating funds from the state targeted national development budget fund to the enterprise for loan repayments was discussed at a meeting chaired by Lukashenka.<\/p>\n

The government press service noted that the Svetlahorsk Pulp and Board Mill is currently operating normally, ensuring output at planned capacity levels.<\/p>\n

Its main products are sulphate pulp (accounting for 83.6% of total industrial output), paper and cardboard (3.5%), corrugated paper and cardboard as well as transport cardboard packaging (6.4%), while other products account for 6.5%. Export supplies have been established to Russia, China, Hungary, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Iran and other countries.<\/p>\n

The enterprise is currently building a sack paper production workshop. The paper is intended for packaging flour, sugar, powdered milk, compound feed, cement, dry construction mixes and similar products. At the same time, 80% of the output is expected to be exported.<\/p>\n

It should also be noted that today the National Legal Internet Portal published a resolution on the gratuitous transfer into the ownership of the Republic of Belarus of nearly 553,000 shares in the Svetlahorsk Pulp and Board Mill owned by BG Capital IOOO (0.0013% of the authorised capital).<\/p>\n
