Korchyk had led the enterprise since mid-2019. Prior to this appointment, Sakovich served as head of the industrial policy department of the Council of Ministers\u2019 apparatus. Earlier, he was also deputy director of BMZ.<\/p>\n<p>While appointing the new director general, Lukashenka inquired about the condition of the holding\u2019s other enterprises, which include the Minsk Bearing Plant, \u201cPalesseelectramash\u201d, the Mahiliou Metallurgical Plant and the \u201cKobryn Tool Plant SITOMO\u201d, as well as the \u201cPaporotnoye-Agro\u201d branch.<\/p>\n<p><i>&#8220;Are they all functioning normally, are they operational, or are there problems there?&#8221;<\/i> he asked.<\/p>\n<p><i>&#8220;They are all operating, but there are a number of issues that will need to be resolved,&#8221;<\/i> Sakovich replied.<\/p>\n<p>Head of Lukashenka\u2019s administration <strong>Dzmitry Krutoi<\/strong> noted that the situation at BMZ itself also requires attention, as production volumes are declining and management decisions had to be made for a number of reasons.<\/p>\n<p><i>&#8220;You understand that there will be no discounts here. Especially since you are the head of a government department. That means you are also responsible for this area. And our metallurgical plant, BMZ, is a very serious enterprise. And, by the way, it was not among the worst. So we must produce and sell. Therefore, there should be no excuses. You came here as a man, now start working.
