The company claims the attack was carried out by cybercriminals from Belarus, as noted by <a href=\"https:\/\/mostmedia.io\/2026\/05\/08\/belarusskie-hakery-atakovali-set-polskih-laboratorij\/\">MOST<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cOn May 3, 2026, our laboratory became the victim of a cyberattack. We identified a security incident involving unauthorized access to part of our IT infrastructure. Preliminary analysis showed that an organized group of cybercriminals from Belarus gained access to the system \u2014 it cannot be ruled out that unauthorized persons may have gained access to the data stored there,\u201d<\/i> the laboratory <a href=\"https:\/\/lab-optimed.pl\/oswiadczenie-dla-pacjentow\/\">stated<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The attackers may have obtained access to patients\u2019 personal data, including names, surnames, PESEL identification numbers, dates of birth, and residential addresses.
