Officials from the Minsk City Committee for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, together with the prosecutor\u2019s office of Zavadski District, carried out an inspection at the Trastsianets landfill. During the inspection of one of the landfill\u2019s active sections, authorities discovered cases of recyclable materials being buried instead of sent for processing.<\/p>\n

A selective inspection of incoming vehicles was conducted at the weighing station. Trucks transporting waste mixed with recyclable materials for burial were denied entry to the landfill, and corresponding reports were drawn up. Authorities also stopped attempts to dispose of municipal solid waste without passing through the mandatory sorting stage.<\/p>\n

Administrative measures will be taken against those responsible for all identified violations, the Belarusian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n
