Several UAV incursions were recorded in total.<\/p>\n<p>Latvian military officials said two drones had crashed. Units of the Armed Forces, police, and the State Fire and Rescue Service are operating at the scene, <a href=\"https:\/\/rus.lsm.lv\/statja\/novosti\/obschestvo\/07.05.2026-na-territorii-latvii-upali-2-drona-obyavlena-ugroza-vozdusnomu-prostranstvu-v-krayax-balvi-rezekne-ludza.a645974\/\">LSM<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>According to firefighters, at about 3:30 a.m. emergency services received several calls about a possible fire at an oil storage facility in R\u0113zekne. Upon arrival, firefighters established that there was no open fire. Measures were taken to cool one of the storage tanks.<\/p>\n<p>Local residents reported hearing alarming sounds during the night, including the noise of engines. Sounds resembling explosions and flashes of light were also heard.<\/p>\n<p>A Latvian television crew working at the scene in R\u0113zekne filmed another drone flying overhead.<\/p>\n<p>An airspace threat warning remains in effect in three districts.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Updated<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Chairman of the R\u0113zekne Regional Council <b>Guntars Skudra<\/b> confirmed that one of the drones crashed on the territory of the East-West Transit branch in R\u0113zekne district.
