A court sentenced him to two years of \u201chome chemistry\u201d and a fine.<\/p>\n<p>In January 2026, the 40-year-old man took part in a driven hunt for wild boar in the Asipovichy district. During the hunt, he spotted a lynx and shot it, although he was aware of its protected status.<\/p>\n<p>The man was charged with illegal hunting. Environmental damage was estimated at 13,500 roubles. The hunter voluntarily compensated the damage in full and admitted guilt.<\/p>\n<p>The Asipovichy District Court sentenced him to two years of \u201chome chemistry\u201d with a ban on hunting for 2.5 years. He must also pay a fine of 4,500 roubles.
