The case concerns Part 2 of Article 428 of the Criminal Code (official negligence resulting in death by negligence).<\/p>\n<p>The tragedy occurred on May 1 at an <a href=\"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/18-year-old-trainee-killed-on-amusement-ride-in-mahiliou\">amusement ride in Mahiliou<\/a>. The young man was undergoing training for the position of ride operator. While helping a visitor safely exit the carousel, he failed to secure the operating mechanism. At that moment, he was struck by a moving part of the ride. He sustained a severe head injury and died.
