His party is currently in opposition.<\/p>\n<p>As noted by the Viasna human rights centre, Bialiatski and Kas\u010di\u016bnas discussed mechanisms for supporting the Belarusian democratic community outside the country. Particular attention was paid to the work of the Viasna human rights centre. The discussion also addressed the issue of harsh repression in Belarus, conditions of detention for political prisoners, and pressure on the European Humanities University.<\/p>\n<p>The sides also touched on sanctions policy and support for Lithuania\u2019s initiative at the International Criminal Court.
