In recent years, they had generally been declining.<\/p>\n<p>According to Belstat data, retail organisations sold alcoholic beverages and beer worth 1.6 billion roubles in the first quarter. The share of alcohol in total retail turnover amounted to 6.4%.<\/p>\n<p>The volume of sales of alcoholic beverages and beer in terms of absolute alcohol decreased by 0.5% to 1.77 million decalitres.<br \/>\nIn physical terms, sales increased for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>vodka \u2013 by 2% to 1.966 million decalitres,<\/li>\n<li>liqueurs and liqueur products \u2013 by 17.3% to 341,300 decalitres,<\/li>\n<li>cognac, cognac-based drinks and brandy \u2013 by 6.7% to 343,000 decalitres,<\/li>\n<li>low-alcohol beverages \u2013 by 2.8% to 1.07 million decalitres.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At the same time, sales decreased for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>grape wines \u2013 by 4.9% to 756,700 decalitres,<\/li>\n<li>fruit wines \u2013 by 21.3% to 643,900 decalitres,<\/li>\n<li>sparkling wines \u2013 by 2% to 522,200 decalitres,<\/li>\n<li>beer \u2013 by 3.6% to 8.6 million decalitres,<\/li>\n<li>other alcoholic beverages \u2013 by 7% to 281,700 decalitres.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Belstat recorded an increase in vodka sales in the first quarter of 2026.
