According to the committee\u2019s press service, the provision of residential care for elderly people is subject to licensing, but such services were being provided without special authorisation in the region.<\/p>\n<p><i>&#8220;At the same time, some individuals disregard these requirements and, for personal gain, organise illegal \u2018care homes\u2019 in their own residences. Such a case was identified by financial investigation authorities in the Homiel region&#8221;<\/i>, the committee said.<\/p>\n<p>According to the agency, a resident of Re\u010dyca provided such services in her home for more than 10 elderly people over a period of two years.<\/p>\n<p><i>&#8220;The homeowner did not obtain the required licence confirming that the conditions she created met the standards for the provision and quality of social services.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>The woman received payments both from relatives of the \u2018residents\u2019 and by withdrawing their pensions from bank card accounts.
