The European Humanities University has been added to it as an \u201cextremist organisation\u201d. The decision to designate EHU as an \u201cextremist organisation\u201d was taken by the Supreme Court a week ago.<\/p>\n<p>The list also includes decisions by the KGB dated April 16. Under these decisions, electoral lists in the elections to the Coordination Council have been designated as \u201cextremist formations\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The following have been included in the list:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cYour Voice\u201d,<\/li>\n<li>\u201cNastup\u201d,<\/li>\n<li>\u201cHopits Bajatstsa\u201d \/ \u201cStop Being Afraid\u201d,<\/li>\n<li>\u201cAb\u2019jadnanaya Hramadzianskaya Platforma\u201d and\/or \u201cUnited Civic Platform\u201d,<\/li>\n<li>\u201cRukh Volya\u201d,<\/li>\n<li>\u201cBloc of Belarusian Political Prisoners \u2018Belarusi Dzieyan\u2019nya\u2019\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For each of the \u201cformations\u201d, lists of participants corresponding to the published electoral lists are provided, as well as various online resources associated with them, where available. It should be recalled that the \u201cTry Slany\u201d platform, which hosts information about the Coordination Council elections, was recently designated as an \u201cextremist formation\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>It should also be noted that the KGB had previously designated electoral lists in the Coordination Council elections as \u201cextremist formations\u201d in 2024. Not all participants in the 2026 elections have yet been included in the list; it is possible that decisions have not yet been taken, or that the committee considers it sufficient that lists under the same names were designated as \u201cextremist formations\u201d two years ago. The decisions of April 16 mainly concerned new participants in the elections or those whose names have changed compared with the previous campaign.<\/p>\n<p>It should be recalled that the Belarusian authorities have consistently used extremism-related charges to persecute opponents and dissent more broadly.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Interior Ministry has updated its list of \u201cextremist formations\u201d.
