This was stated by Lithuanian Prime Minister <b>Inga Ruginien\u0117<\/b> on April 22, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lrt.lt\/ru\/novosti\/17\/2906327\/prem-er-pozitsiia-po-vosstanovleniiu-otnoshenii-s-belarus-iu-neizmenna\">LRT reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe are not changing our position, and the government\u2019s stance is clear. We are ready, we just want to see goodwill from the other side,\u201d<\/em> the Lithuanian prime minister said regarding a possible dialogue.<\/p>\n<p>Ruginien\u0117 stressed that there is no question of restoring relations to the pre-war level, but Lithuania is considering the possibility of normalising relations.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe are not talking about restoring relations or the kind of dialogue that existed many years ago before the war. We are talking about the possibility of normalising relations through the exchange of certain technical details, as other countries are doing, but this requires circumstances and conditions that the other side must fulfil,\u201d<\/em> Ruginien\u0117 said.<\/p>\n<p>The Lithuanian prime minister noted that a meeting for the exchange of information would be possible when Minsk proposes long-term solutions on the issues of meteorological balloons, illegal migration and trucks detained in Belarus. Lithuanian President <b>Gitanas Naus\u0117da<\/b> had previously outlined the same conditions for starting a dialogue.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry stated that it was ready for communication via Lithuania\u2019s representative for cooperation with Belarus. Lithuania\u2019s State Security Department recently said it <a href=\"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/lithuanian-state-security-department-sees-major-risks-in-dialogue-with-belarus\">sees significant risks in dialogue with Belarus<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lithuania is ready for dialogue with Belarus but wants to see goodwill from Minsk.
