{"id":535409,"date":"2026-04-22T10:36:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-22T07:36:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reform.news\/?p=535409"},"modified":"2026-04-22T12:09:05","modified_gmt":"2026-04-22T09:09:05","slug":"minsk-city-court-begins-trial-in-absentia-against-four-people","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/minsk-city-court-begins-trial-in-absentia-against-four-people","title":{"rendered":"Minsk City Court Begins Trial in Absentia Against Four People"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>The Minsk City Court is beginning to hear a case against four people under special proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>As the Viasna Human Rights Center <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/viasna96\/34626\">reported<\/a>, today the court will begin trying in absentia <strong><b>Andrei Balmakou<\/b><\/strong>, <strong><b>Yauheniya Tachytskaya<\/b><\/strong>, <strong><b>Katsiaryna Astrova<\/b><\/strong> and <strong><b>Antanina Naidovich<\/b><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>All four are charged under Part 2 of Article 361-4 of the Criminal Code (\u201cFacilitating extremist activity\u201d), while Antanina is additionally charged under Article 369 (\u201cInsulting a representative of the authorities\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>Yauheniya Tachytskaya has already been convicted in absentia in the case concerning the sabotage of the A-50 early warning aircraft at the Machulishchy airfield.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Minsk City Court is beginning to hear a case against four people under special proceedings.
