A meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council is due to take place in Luxembourg today.<\/p>\n<p><em><i>\u201cLithuania\u2019s foreign minister will make a statement regarding the situation surrounding the European Humanities University \u2013 after Belarus declared the institution an \u2018extremist organization\u2019 on April 14, the minister intends to draw attention to the consequences of this decision at the European level and call on the EU to take a response\u201d<\/i><\/em>, Lithuania\u2019s Foreign Ministry <a href=\"https:\/\/www.urm.lt\/naujienos\/141\/k.-budrys-dalyvaus-es-uzsienio-reikalu-taryboje-liuksemburge:45854\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As the ministry clarified to ELTA <a href=\"https:\/\/www.delfi.lt\/ru\/news\/politics\/budris-prizovet-es-vvesti-sankcii-za-priznanie-egu-ekstremistskoy-organizaciey-120239602\">news agency<\/a>, this could include sanctions against Belarusian officials involved in the decision regarding EHU.
