A 38-year-old resident of Orsha was injured in the explosion of a World War II-era shell. He was hospitalized in serious condition, the Investigative Committee reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the afternoon of April 19, the man and a female acquaintance were searching in a field for shells dating back to World War II. After finding ammunition, the man struck it with a hammer in an attempt to remove the copper ring. An explosion occurred.<\/p>\n

The man sustained injuries. Medics who arrived at the scene took him to hospital in serious condition.<\/p>\n

Investigative and \u0441\u0430\u043fper-explosives teams worked at the scene. The Investigative Committee is establishing the circumstances of the incident.<\/p>\n
