Lithuanian customs seized<\/a> a shipment of counterfeit branded clothing and footwear that was bound for Belarus. The fake goods will be destroyed.<\/p>\n

The counterfeit items were discovered by officers of the Vilnius Territorial Customs Office while inspecting a shipment travelling from Switzerland to Belarus in transit through Lithuania. Customs officers detained 170 suspicious items, including vests, T-shirts and slippers bearing the Armani, Herm\u00e8s, Lacoste and Yves Saint Laurent labels. The declared value of the goods was around 900 euros.<\/p>\n

Customs contacted the trademark holders and received confirmation that the detained goods were counterfeit. A decision was then made to destroy the fake items.<\/p>\n
