However, prices and tariffs for some items rose much more sharply. Here is a look at what became more expensive and cheaper in March.<\/p>\n<p><mark>In March<\/mark>, the sharpest increase was recorded in the cost of suburban bus transport, which rose by 25.88%. It should be recalled that public transport fares were increased in March. Sweet peppers rose in price by 19.03%, postage for letters by 18.75%, urban public transport fares by 16.37%, intercity passenger transport by 13.74%, grapes by 10.83%, and fresh tomatoes by 10.69%.<\/p>\n<p>The steepest declines in March were recorded for seasonal goods: cucumbers fell by 12.93%, apples by 6.56%, citrus fruits by 6.08%, demi-season boots by 4.1%, avocados by 3.52%, hair dye by 3.43%, and butter by 2.25%.<\/p>\n<p><mark>Since the beginning of the year<\/mark>, the sharpest price increases have been recorded for fresh tomatoes (+33.72%), grapes (+26.97%), suburban bus passenger transport (+25.88%), avocados (+23.86%) and postage for letters (+20.95%).<\/p>\n<p>The largest price declines compared with the beginning of the year were recorded for citrus fruits (-9.43%), apples (-8.79%), circus tickets (-7.48%), cucumbers (-3.75%) and multicookers (-3.23%).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Inflation stood at 0.6% in March.
