Two Iraqi citizens were also added to the list on the basis of relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.<\/p>\n<p>In December last year, a court found Dzienisenka guilty in absentia under Part 2 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code (mass riots). He was sentenced to four years in a general-regime penal colony. On 20 February, the Brest Regional Court rejected the appeal in the case and <a href=\"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/pinsk-resident-sentenced-in-absentia-to-four-years-in-prison\">upheld the sentence<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Being added to the terrorist list means that money transfers to the prisoner are prohibited.<\/p>\n<p>The Belarusian authorities regularly use accusations of extremism and terrorism to target political opponents and dissent in general.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Belarusian KGB has added Dzianis Dzienisenka, who was convicted in absentia, to its &#8220;terrorist list&#8221;.
