Tsikhanouskaya&#8217;s adviser also expressed gratitude to the American side for the release of political prisoners.<\/p>\n<p><i>&#8220;We hope that this American humanitarian track will continue and that all political prisoners will be released and repression against prisoners will stop,&#8221;<\/i> he said, adding that the agenda of the meetings includes a broader range of issues.<\/p>\n<p>Dzianis Kuchynski said he brought copies of a book by <strong>Uladzimir Arlou<\/strong> on Belarusian history as a gift for his hosts.<\/p>\n<p><i>&#8220;I hope <strong>Andy<\/strong> (Baker \u2014 the US president&#8217;s deputy national security adviser \u2014 ed.) my good friend at the White House, will like it, because this is a history which, although the book ends with Ko\u015bciuszko, our shared hero, also tells how Belarus was a strong, independent, European state.
