The bill \u043f\u0440\u0435\u0434\u0443\u0441\u043c\u0430\u0442\u0440\u0438\u0432\u0430\u0435\u0442 amendments to the Banking Code, the Budget Code, and laws on currency regulation and control, payment systems and services, and anti-money laundering. The changes are required for the introduction of the digital ruble, which the National Bank plans to begin implementing in the second half of the year.<\/p>\n<p>As explained by the press service of the House of Representatives, the digital Belarusian ruble will represent an additional form of non-cash money, which will be recorded not in bank accounts but in digital accounts at the National Bank.<\/p>\n<p>The National Bank expects that the digital national currency will simplify cross-border payments, improve control over budget funds, and more.<\/p>\n<p>The National Bank will organize the operation of the digital Belarusian ruble payment system, including the digital ruble platform.
