A representative of the BELPOL initiative, Uladzimir Zhyhar<\/b>, has identified two provocateurs who were present during the protests following the 2006 presidential election. They were identified as Dzmitry Maiorau<\/b> and Andrei Ustynau<\/b>, both with criminal records.<\/p>\n

“On the anniversary of the events of 2006, I always rewatch Yury Khashchevatski<\/em>\u2019s film \u2018Ploshcha\u2019. This time, I decided to find out who those provocateurs were in 2006. Fortunately, there is a facial recognition system and databases. Nothing surprising \u2014 two convicted individuals,”<\/i> Zhyhar wrote<\/a> on Facebook.<\/p>\n

Maiorau is a resident of Minsk. On March 13, 2006, he was sentenced to two years in prison with a suspended sentence. He was later convicted twice more.<\/p>\n

Ustynau was born in the Russian city of Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg) and has multiple convictions. In 2008, he himself became a victim of a crime and sustained serious injuries.<\/p>\n

“What is notable is that there is no information about his employment after 2019. However, there is a full namesake in the Myrotvorets database listed as a fighter of the Wagner PMC,”<\/i> Zhyhar wrote.<\/p>\n
