The man was traveling from Poland to Belarus on a Poznan\u2013Minsk bus on March 2. At the border, a service dog detected drugs in his belongings.<\/p>\n<p>In his luggage, the man was carrying metal cans labeled as canned fruit, inside which hashish was found. The cans appeared indistinguishable from factory-sealed ones. In total, nearly 260 grams of hashish were seized.<\/p>\n<p>Criminal cases have been opened against the man, who had previously been convicted of hooliganism, under Part 2 of Article 328-1 and Part 3 of Article 328 of the Criminal Code for illegal cross-border movement and illegal trafficking of narcotic substances. The maximum penalty \u043f\u0440\u0435\u0434\u0443\u0441\u043c\u0430\u0442\u0440\u0438\u0432\u0430\u0435\u0442 up to 15 years of imprisonment.<\/p>\n<p>In the second case, on March 15, a resident of Vitsyebsk was traveling on a Warsaw\u2013Vitsyebsk bus. Marijuana was found on him at the border. The man was placed in a temporary detention facility of the Brest border group.
