During the inspection, Polish customs officers found hidden compartments in the vehicle containing more than 1,100 packs of cigarettes, the Lublin Customs and Tax Office in Bia\u0142a Podlaska <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lubelskie.kas.gov.pl\/lubelski-urzad-celno-skarbowy-w-bialej-podlaskiej\/wiadomosci\/aktualnosci\/-\/asset_publisher\/hYy0\/content\/napadl-na-funkcjonariusza-za-tysiac-paczek-papierosow?redirect=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.lubelskie.kas.gov.pl%2Flubelski-urzad-celno-skarbowy-w-bialej-podlaskiej%2Fwiadomosci%2Faktualnosci%3Fp_p_id%3D101_INSTANCE_hYy0%26p_p_lifecycle%3D0%26p_p_state%3Dnormal%26p_p_mode%3Dview%26p_p_col_id%3Dcolumn-2%26p_p_col_count%3D1#p_p_id_101_INSTANCE_hYy0_\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>During the inspection, the Belarusian attacked a customs officer. Police were called to the scene.<\/p>\n<p>A criminal case has been opened against the man for smuggling. His vehicle has been confiscated. He has also been charged with violating the bodily integrity of a public official. The offense carries a penalty of up to three years in prison.
