Poland has deported a \u201cthief in law\u201d to Belarus. This was reported<\/a> by Poland\u2019s Central Bureau of Investigation of the Police (CB\u015aP) and the Border Guard.<\/p>\n

“In mid-February 2026, officers of the CB\u015aP and the Border Guard detained a Belarusian citizen who, according to the services, held the status of a \u2018thief in law.\u2019 The man was deported to Belarus and banned from entering the Schengen area for 10 years,”<\/i> the statement said.<\/p>\n

Today, Polish services published a report on operations aimed at criminal kingpins.<\/p>\n

In May last year, another \u201cthief in law\u201d was detained. It turned out that the man was wanted by an Italian court. He previously held Georgian citizenship, but it was annulled. He is currently in a Polish prison.<\/p>\n

In September 2025, three \u201cthieves in law\u201d were detained. Two were expelled from Poland. One is in custody awaiting deportation.<\/p>\n

In February 2026, two Ukrainian citizens connected to the criminal underworld were also detained as part of the operation. One was placed in custody by court order on criminal charges. The second is being held in a guarded center awaiting deportation.<\/p>\n

Polish media had previously reported the detention of criminal kingpins, but at that time it was said that all of them had been detained in 2025.<\/p>\n
