Representatives of BELPOL paid a working visit to Estonia, where they held a series of meetings with government institutions and members of the diplomatic corps. The main topic was the growing militarization of Belarus and the deepening of its military cooperation with Russia.<\/p>\n

At a closed briefing for Estonia\u2019s Foreign Ministry, BELPOL representatives presented exclusive materials on the construction of military infrastructure in Belarus and documents indicating the deepening of military cooperation between Minsk and Moscow, including elements of joint military planning. Participants also discussed the effectiveness of international sanctions and attempts by the Alyaksandr Lukashenka regime to achieve international legitimization.<\/p>\n

During a meeting in the Estonian parliament with representatives of the Isamaa party, BELPOL highlighted the risks of any dialogue with Lukashenka\u2019s regime and pointed to the potential for more active use of Estonia\u2019s national sanctions mechanisms against entities and individuals linked to the regime.<\/p>\n

On 10 March, a briefing for the diplomatic corps accredited in Tallinn was held at the Mission of the Democratic Forces of Belarus in Estonia. More than 20 diplomats from European Union countries attended. Bilateral consultations followed the briefing, including a separate meeting with the Ukrainian diplomatic mission on cooperation regarding regional security and Belarus\u2019s role in the military conflict.<\/p>\n
