{"id":524677,"date":"2026-03-11T14:08:51","date_gmt":"2026-03-11T11:08:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reform.news\/?p=524677"},"modified":"2026-03-11T15:08:49","modified_gmt":"2026-03-11T12:08:49","slug":"belstat-publishes-first-data-on-remote-and-platform-employment-in-belarus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/belstat-publishes-first-data-on-remote-and-platform-employment-in-belarus","title":{"rendered":"Belstat Publishes First Data On Remote And Platform Employment In Belarus"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>The National Statistical Committee has for the first time published data on remote and platform employment in Belarus.<\/p>\n<p>According to the statistics agency, in 2025 about 0.5% of those employed in the economy worked through digital platforms, while 0.8% worked remotely.<\/p>\n<p>Within the structure of remote employment, 49.7% worked in the information and communications sector, 21% in professional, scientific and technical activities, 11.4% in trade, 4.9% in education and healthcare services, and 3.1% in transport and logistics.<\/p>\n<p>Belstat also presented a statistical profile of a remote worker. On average, such a worker is 35.4 years old, 79.7% have higher education, and 37.9% have children. About 63.1% of remote workers are employees. Men account for 50.6%, while women make up 49.4%.<\/p>\n<p>In the structure of platform employment, taxi services dominate with 31.6%, followed by goods sales (19.4%), IT work and services (17.9%), delivery and household services (14.3%), and education, legal and tourism services (10%).<\/p>\n<p>Among those working through platforms, 41.1% are self-employed and 49.1% are employees.<\/p>\n<p>Men account for 63.4% of platform workers and women for 36.6%.
