She is accused of \u201crehabilitation of Nazism.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cDuring the analysis of internet resources, the Prosecutor General\u2019s Office identified instances of such \u2018authorial\u2019 interpretation of historical events of the Great Patriotic War on the YouTube video hosting platform. Following the study of the collected information, a criminal case was opened under Part 3 of Article 130-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus for deliberate actions aimed at the rehabilitation of Nazism.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><em>According to the case materials, a 39-year-old native of Minsk, conditionally identified as K. and V. \u2014 she has a double surname \u2014 while outside Belarus, together with other individuals on a systematic basis produced and posted videos on a publicly accessible platform in the form of educational lectures. In them she manipulated certain facts from the country\u2019s history. At the same time, as the host of the podcast she presented herself as a competent person with knowledge of this historical period,\u201d<\/em> said <b>Dzmitry Bryleu<\/b>, head of a department at the Prosecutor General\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors said that some of the videos contained <i>\u201cfabrications in which the suspect glorified Nazi criminals and their accomplices, including representatives of nationalist collaborationist formations (\u2018Auxiliary Police,\u2019 \u2018Belarusian Central Council\u2019 and others), deliberately praised them as well as the crimes they committed against the civilian population of the BSSR.\u201d<\/i> The woman allegedly also praised <b>Wilhelm Kube<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>The case has been transferred to the central office of the Investigative Committee for investigation.<\/p>\n<p>The name of the YouTube channel was not disclosed in the statement.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Prosecutor General\u2019s Office has announced criminal prosecution of a 39-year-old woman from Minsk over her YouTube channel.
