Fifteen of them were convicted under \u201cextremism\u201d articles.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cMost of those pardoned are women (11 people). Six of them have children, including children with disabilities who require constant medical rehabilitation.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><em>Two married couples have also been pardoned, as well as a woman in the late stages of pregnancy and one convict who broke the law at the age of 16,\u201d<\/em> Lukashenka\u2019s press service said.<\/p>\n<p>It was reported that those pardoned had submitted petitions for clemency, admitted their guilt, repented of their actions and promised to lead a \u201claw-abiding lifestyle.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alyaksandr Lukashenka has signed a decree pardoning 18 people.
