I am afraid that this may indeed happen,\u201d<\/i> Lukashenka said at a meeting with Iran\u2019s ambassador to Belarus <strong>Alireza Sanei<\/strong> on March 4.<\/p>\n<p>Lukashenka warned that the conflict could lead to unpredictable consequences.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cTherefore, the international community, and above all the major states \u2014 and even more so Israel and the United States \u2014 must realize that this conflict could lead to unpredictable events,\u201d<\/i> he said.<\/p>\n<p>Lukashenka asked the ambassador what assistance Belarus could provide, taking into account the position the country has adopted regarding the conflict.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cTherefore, I would like to discuss with you the situation in the Middle East and Iran and ask you a question: how can we help you in this situation, based on the position we have taken on this conflict. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated this quite transparently. This is the position of the leadership of Belarus and of the Belarusian people,\u201d<\/i> Lukashenka said.<\/p>\n<p>He also stated that <a href=\"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/lukashenka-calls-israel-s-attack-on-iran-unacceptable-and-treacherous\">Israel\u2019s attack on Iran with the support of the United States is unacceptable<\/a> and described the death of Iran\u2019s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei as unacceptable.<\/p>\n<p>It should be recalled that on March 2 the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned armed actions leading to the deaths of civilians and called on the sides to return to resolving their differences through political and diplomatic means.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alyaksandr Lukashenka said he fears that Persian Gulf states could be drawn into a war with Iran and offered Tehran assistance based on the position Belarus has taken in the conflict. \u201cI am alarmed by the fact that the Gulf states may be drawn into this war and become participants in this wild war.
