{"id":522374,"date":"2026-03-03T13:22:38","date_gmt":"2026-03-03T10:22:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reform.news\/?p=522374"},"modified":"2026-03-03T13:31:25","modified_gmt":"2026-03-03T10:31:25","slug":"lukashenka-appoints-ambassadors-to-slovakia-zimbabwe-and-tanzania","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/lukashenka-appoints-ambassadors-to-slovakia-zimbabwe-and-tanzania","title":{"rendered":"Lukashenka Appoints Ambassadors to Slovakia, Zimbabwe and Tanzania"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p><b>Alyaksandr Lukashenka<\/b> appointed three ambassadors today.<\/p>\n<p>According to his press service, Head of the Europe Directorate at the Foreign Ministry <b>Ihar Fisenka<\/b> has been appointed Ambassador of Belarus to Slovakia. It should be recalled that last year, after the government of <b>Robert Fico<\/b> came to power, Slovakia returned its ambassador to Minsk. The post was taken by <b>Jozef Miga\u0161<\/b>, who had previously represented his country\u2019s interests in Minsk.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Head of the Directorate \u2014 Head of the Africa and Middle East Office of the Asia and Africa Directorate at the Foreign Ministry <b>Yury Nikalaichyk<\/b> has been appointed Ambassador to Zimbabwe. He replaces <b>Ihar Marshalau<\/b>, a former deputy chairman of the State Control Committee and head of the Financial Investigations Department, who previously served in that position.<\/p>\n<p>Belarus\u2019 Ambassador to Kenya <b>Dzmitry Krasouski<\/b> has been given additional responsibilities. He will concurrently represent the state\u2019s interests in Tanzania.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the new ambassador to Zimbabwe, Lukashenka described the country as a gateway to Africa.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cZimbabwe is not geographically, but philosophically the entrance, the gateway to Africa,\u201d<\/i> he said.<\/p>\n<p>Lukashenka recalled that the Belarusian side had helped Zimbabwe obtain the necessary grain harvest.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cThey ensured their food supply. Gradually we are moving forward in healthcare, education and other areas. They are buying our equipment, we are training these guys, teaching them how to work with it, transferring technologies. And they are talking about this throughout Africa,\u201d<\/i> he said.<\/p>\n<p>Lukashenka stressed that Zimbabwe\u2019s President <b>Emmerson Mnangagwa<\/b> enjoys authority in Africa and is the <i>\u201cbest promoter and advocate of Belarus.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cAll presidents hear him and listen to him, and he says directly: the Belarusians saved us, they ensured our food security,\u201d<\/i> he said.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about Slovakia, Lukashenka noted that it is a friendly country that has its own voice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alyaksandr Lukashenka appointed three ambassadors today.
