Lithuanian customs officers discovered cigarettes hidden inside a truck driver\u2019s mattress. Both the cigarettes and the vehicle were seized.<\/p>\n

On February 25, a truck driven by a Belarusian citizen arrived at the Medininkai border crossing. Customs officers were not alerted by the cargo, but by a mattress in the driver\u2019s cab. An inspection revealed cigarette packs concealed inside.<\/p>\n

Customs officers seized 9,400 cigarettes worth \u20ac2,326, as well as the tractor unit with a semi-trailer valued at \u20ac15,390. An administrative protocol was drawn up against the driver, the Lithuanian Customs Service reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n
