This was 1,400 fewer than in December. In recent months, the dynamics of employment have been changing on a monthly basis, with the number rising one month and declining the next.<\/p>\n<p>In January 2025, an increase in employment was recorded on a year-on-year basis for the first time in several years. This year, compared with January 2025, the number of people employed also increased, by 31,200.<\/p>\n<p>However, compared with December 2019, the number of people employed in the economy decreased by 172,200.
