{"id":519593,"date":"2026-02-20T17:37:31","date_gmt":"2026-02-20T14:37:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reform.news\/?p=519593"},"modified":"2026-02-21T12:42:20","modified_gmt":"2026-02-21T09:42:20","slug":"convicted-defendants-in-black-nightingales-case-added-to-terrorist-list","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/convicted-defendants-in-black-nightingales-case-added-to-terrorist-list","title":{"rendered":"Convicted Defendants In \u201cBlack Nightingales\u201d Case Added To \u2018Terrorist\u2019 List"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>Belarus\u2019 State Security Committee has added nine more people to its list of \u201cindividuals involved in terrorist activity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Among them are those convicted in the \u201cBlack Nightingales\u201d case: <b>Maryia Misiuk<\/b>, <b>Dzmitry Zakharoshka<\/b>, <b>Trafim Barysau<\/b>, <b>Siarhei Zhihaleu<\/b> and <b>Aliaksandra Pulinovich<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>The defendants in the \u201cBlack Nightingales\u201d case were detained in the spring of 2024. At that time, state television aired a propaganda film titled \u201cChildren In The Crosshairs. Recruited By The Enemy,\u201d which reported the detention of seven teenagers for \u201ccooperation with Ukrainian special services.\u201d Some of them were accused of an \u201cact of terrorism\u201d and \u201chigh treason.\u201d The film claimed that six teenagers had allegedly formed an \u201canarchist cell \u2018Black Nightingales,\u2019\u201d which was said to have been created \u201cunder the leadership of the National Liberation Army of Ukraine\u201d by 16-year-old Ukrainian citizen Maryia Misiuk.<\/p>\n<p>In November last year, Maryia was released and transferred to Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>The updated KGB list also includes <b>Aliaksandr Kanavalchyk<\/b>, <b>Tatsiana Magnusava<\/b>, <b>Raman Makhankou<\/b>, <b>Aliaksandr Miedzved<\/b>, <b>Tatsiana Shchetka<\/b> and <b>Aliaksandr Khazeeu<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>At present, the \u201cterrorist list\u201d contains 1,417 individuals, around 700 of whom are Belarusians.<\/p>\n<p>Belarusian authorities regularly use accusations of extremism and terrorism to target political opponents and dissent more broadly.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Belarus\u2019 State Security Committee has added nine more people to its list of \u201cindividuals involved in terrorist activity.\u201d Among them are those convicted in the \u201cBlack Nightingales\u201d case: Maryia Misiuk, Dzmitry Zakharoshka, Trafim Barysau, Siarhei Zhihaleu and Aliaksandra Pulinovich.
