{"id":518581,"date":"2026-02-17T20:45:42","date_gmt":"2026-02-17T17:45:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reform.news\/?p=518581"},"modified":"2026-02-18T11:27:03","modified_gmt":"2026-02-18T08:27:03","slug":"bysol-says-it-has-no-courier-network-in-belarus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/bysol-says-it-has-no-courier-network-in-belarus","title":{"rendered":"BYSOL Says It Has No \u201cCourier Network\u201d In Belarus"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>The BYSOL foundation has issued a statement in connection with the verdicts in the so-called BYSOL case.<\/p>\n<p>Four people were sentenced to between two and three years in prison on charges of \u201cparticipation in an extremist formation.\u201d The court found that they had acted as BYSOL \u201ccouriers\u201d in Belarus. \u201cThe \u2018couriers\u2019 were tasked with receiving and transferring funds to other members of the formation and distributing them for the needs of participants in illegal protest and extremist activities,\u201d the Minsk Prosecutor\u2019s Office said.<\/p>\n<p>BYSOL stated that the foundation has no \u201ccouriers\u201d in Belarus.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe BYSOL foundation has never had a \u2018courier network\u2019 in Belarus. BYSOL does not create underground structures, does not form \u2018groups\u2019 inside the country and does not organise the transfer of cash funds through individuals.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Statements about the existence of an \u2018organised BYSOL group\u2019 with \u2018courier\u2019 functions, the distribution of cash and the observance of \u2018secrecy\u2019 do not correspond to reality and have nothing to do with the foundation\u2019s actual activities,\u201d<\/em> the statement said.<\/p>\n<p>The foundation also reminded that transfers to the personal accounts of citizens in Belarus from organisations recognised as \u201cextremist\u201d in Belarus are associated with risks for recipients.
