Prime Minister Alyaksandr Turchyn<\/b> on Tuesday visited the High-Tech Park, where the forum \u201cTechnological Sovereignty: IT Resources for Industry\u201d is being held.<\/p>\n

According to the government press service, the prime minister was introduced to an exhibition of developments by High-Tech Park resident companies in the fields of robotics and industry. Fourteen resident companies were represented. It is stated that they cooperate with 150 countries worldwide. Their products have also been implemented at various Belarusian enterprises, including MTZ, Svetlahorsk Pulp and Paper Mill, Peleng, the GEFEST group of companies, Belaruskali, Gomselmash, and others.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are probably continuing a good tradition of holding events at the High-Tech Park today. At one time we called them Government Day at the HTP. The theme of today\u2019s meeting is technological sovereignty. This is the most important issue that we all need to resolve together. Before the start of today\u2019s event, we looked at the results of our companies\u2019 work. And, of course, it is all truly impressive. Why do we hold these government days? It is very important that we establish communication. Machinery manufacturers, if we are talking about today\u2019s event, and companies engaged in development should achieve the necessary synergy and create products that are needed both in our country and on external markets.<\/i><\/p>\n

Once again, I want to say that what our companies are doing, and understanding where they sell it all \u2014 to many countries around the world, to well-known foreign companies \u2014 shows that our country has great potential. Therefore, a very large role is also placed on the High-Tech Park. The HTP should attract and, in some cases, nurture these companies. We must have full cataloguing of these companies so that today not only at such meetings, but any economic entity understands where to find a partner here, ensuring precisely this technological sovereignty. And, as I always say, representatives of our real sector of the economy must find these solutions and implement them at their enterprises.<\/em><\/p>\n

Literally today, in the short time that we visited the exhibition, we made a number of decisions. And I think \u2014 or rather, I do not rule out \u2014 that we will give a start to development, if not of entire industries, then in fact to the creation of new products that will be in demand both here and abroad,\u201d<\/em> Turchyn said.<\/p>\n

The head of government assured High-Tech Park residents that he is ready to consider changes to legislation as well as options for state support.<\/p>\n

\u201cTime is moving very fast, and we need to make quick decisions, having assessed our capabilities \u2014 what we can do, what we cannot do \u2014 and move forward. Therefore, I would like to tune everyone to very active work in this direction. As for the government, again, today, I think, during our meeting we will discuss these issues \u2014 and we have discussed them with our colleagues, company representatives \u2014 what needs to be changed or supplemented in legislation in order to give a certain impetus to the development of these technologies, including the possibility of providing resource support. We do not have many resources. But we will always find them for priority goals. Therefore, dear colleagues, I once again urge you to work actively today and beyond today. I simply want the result of our meeting today to be concrete projects, and for us to be able to obtain tangible results of our joint work with you in the near future,\u201d<\/i> he said.<\/p>\n
