Raman Tsymberau<\/b>, a Belarusian poet and publisher and owner of the online bookstore Kniger.by, which sold fiction and historical literature including books in the Belarusian language, has died at the age of 44.<\/p>\n

Five days ago he suddenly fell ill and developed kidney problems. He later suffered a stroke. He was transferred to intensive care but could not be saved.<\/p>\n

Raman Tsymberau was born on June 8, 1981, in Yeysk, Krasnodar Krai, Russia, but lived in Belarus from childhood. He worked as a lecturer at a college and at a university and obtained a master\u2019s degree in economics in 2008.<\/p>\n

Since 2001 he had worked as an individual entrepreneur in the book trade. He was the owner of the online bookstore Kniger.by and the administrator of the website for historical literature enthusiasts \u201cEmpire of History. Historical Club of Belarus.\u201d<\/p>\n

As a publisher and editor, he oversaw the book series \u201cSuch History,\u201d in which around 20 editions devoted to the history of Belarus and military history had been published by January 2024. In 2025, he launched a children\u2019s book series titled \u201cVetrachok.\u201d<\/p>\n

Among the notable books published by Tsymberau were \u201cMinsk Prison Castle\u201d by Dzmitry Drozd<\/b>, \u201cHot Paraffin\u201d by Vintses Mudrou<\/b>, \u201cWhisper\u201d by Siarhei Leskets<\/b>, \u201cKupala and Kolas Joke\u201d by Pavel Karalyou<\/b>, a collection of works by Kastus Seviarynets<\/b>, and the children\u2019s book \u201cGrandfather\u2019s Tales\u201d by Dzied Jankel<\/b> (Ihar Haikevich<\/b>), among many others.<\/p>\n

On January 24, 2024, the Ministry of Information of Belarus suspended for one month Tsymberau\u2019s certificate granting him the right to publish printed editions.<\/p>\n

He was the author of poetry in Belarusian and Russian. Four poetry collections by Raman Tsymberau were published: \u201cThe Mouse King\u201d (2006), \u201cCase History\u201d (2011), \u201cThe Third Notebook\u201d (2017), and \u201cOn the Streets of Babylon. The Curetes Guard\u201d (2021). \u201cOn the Streets of Babylon. The Curetes Guard\u201d was a double-sided collection (a flip book) containing poems written between 2015 and 2018.<\/p>\n

Together with his daughter Emilia<\/b>, he published a collection of children\u2019s poems titled \u201cMulticoloured Snowflakes.\u201d<\/p>\n
