The wording is contained in Decree No. 11 dated January 15 on his dismissal from office, published today on Belarus\u2019s National Legal Internet Portal.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cIn accordance with Article 119 of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, Alyaksandr Mikhailavich Subbotin is relieved of the post of chair of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee in connection with his resignation,\u201d<\/i> the document says.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, <b>Alyaksandr Lukashenka<\/b> appointed <b>Alyaksandr Ragozhnik<\/b> as chair of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. Ragozhnik had previously served as Belarus\u2019s ambassador to Russia. Speaking about Subbotin\u2019s future, Lukashenka said his competencies would be used on the \u201cexternal track.\u201d He also suggested that Subbotin may have concluded that leadership was not his calling.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cWell, maybe he burned out. Maybe he felt that it was probably not for him.
