Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya<\/b> addressed Belarusians on the International Day of Solidarity, marked on December 20. The leader of the democratic forces emphasized that for Belarusians, solidarity has become part of everyday life and mutual support.<\/p>\n

\u201cBelarusian solidarity always amazes and inspires. When we see pain or need, our people come together immediately, without words or calls. I admire everyone who finds the time and strength to help another person. This is exactly how a country is built in which one wants to live,\u201d<\/i> she said.<\/p>\n

The Tsikhanouskaya Office published a series of case cards illustrating what solidarity means for Belarusians.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor Belarusians, solidarity is not just a word. It is the actions we take every day when we see need, someone else\u2019s pain, or injustice. Most often, these are things we do without even paying attention to them. That is why today is the best day to remember Belarusian solidarity and to remind each other that it is precisely this solidarity that keeps us together and gives us hope,\u201d<\/i> representatives of the Office said.<\/p>\n
