He made the statement during his speech at the All-Belarusian People\u2019s Assembly.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cStrategic defense is also ensured by our military cooperation, above all with the Russian Federation. Therefore, Belarus and Russia are implementing a set of strategic deterrence measures \u2014 this is the deployment on our territory of the Russian component of the regional group of forces. In the event of an escalation of conflicts, it is stipulated that the armed forces \u2014 several tens of thousands of personnel \u2014 in western Russia will immediately join the military confrontation as a second echelon. Belarus goes first \u2014 we must respond. Then the Russian Federation supports us.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>This is what the regional group of forces is. And the tactical nuclear weapons that we returned to Belarus.
