A group of Libyan military personnel is undergoing training in Belarus in methods described as maintaining \u201cinternal security and stability.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to a report published by the Interior Ministry of Eastern Libya, trainees are shown learning to disperse demonstrators using batons. Photos from the exercises depict Libyan servicemen practicing crowd-control tactics under the supervision of Belarusian instructors.<\/p>\n

The cooperation follows a November visit to Libya by a delegation from the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs aimed at \u201cstrengthening security cooperation.\u201d The delegation included the commander of the Internal Troops Mikalai Karpiankou<\/b>\u00a0and the head of Minsk OMON Mikalai Maksimovich<\/b>.<\/p>\n
