The fire was extinguished, there were no casualties, and no release of radioactive materials occurred. The event is preliminarily classified as \u2018below scale\u2019 on the IAEA International Nuclear and Radiological Event Scale. No external assistance was required,\u201d<\/i> the press release said.<\/p>\n<p>On 25 November, a fire broke out at the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant in Lithuania in the primary radioactive-waste processing complex. Fire crews arrived at 17:40 Belarus time (16:40 Lithuania time). The fire was contained at 18:05 and fully extinguished at 20:07.
