The announcement was made by the company\u2019s director general, <b>Aleksandr Mikheyev<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cRosoboronexport is currently working on the issue of joint production of the fifth-generation Su-75 Checkmate fighter with Belarusian partners. Interest in this aircraft remains high in the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region,\u201d<\/i> he said, as quoted by RIA Novosti.<\/p>\n<p>The Su-75 is a light tactical aircraft whose prototype was unveiled at the MAKS-2021 air show. The first flight of the Su-75 is expected in 2026. The aircraft is projected to have a maximum supercruise speed of up to Mach 2 and a practical range of up to 2,900 km. Its combat payload capacity is 7.4 tonnes.<\/p>\n<p>The fighter\u2019s armaments will include air-to-air missiles and a twin-barrel 23-mm cannon.
