The talks were held on the sidelines of the SCO Heads of Government Summit.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cIn Belarus, we consider Iran a very close and friendly country. It is gratifying to note that our Belarusian-Iranian relations are developing dynamically. We highly appreciate the recent official visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, <strong>Masoud Pezeshkian<\/strong>, to our country.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><em>I am confident that the agreements reached between our presidents should simply give new momentum to our Belarusian-Iranian relations. We are indeed focused on building strategic ties with Iran and, of course, on the most effective and prompt work to fulfil all our objectives,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n<p>Turchyn proposed using SCO and BRICS platforms more intensively for bilateral cooperation.
