In addition, the resumption of movement through border checkpoints is very important in general for, as we see it, restoring normal relations between the countries.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><em>Because relations between ordinary people always come first, followed by relations between business representatives. And then politicians catch up. So it is very good that the overall atmosphere, the background, is quite positive. I saw reports from the border today. People are very happy. In fact, this should have been done long ago,\u201d<\/em> Ryzhankou told the Telegram channel *Vremya Pervogo*.<\/p>\n<p>The foreign minister also said that Poland had demonstrated to Lithuania what he called <i>\u201ctough, normal pragmatism.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Poland reopened two checkpoints on the Belarusian border \u2014 <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ku\u017anica<\/span> and Bobrowniki \u2014 on 17 November. Poland said it expected to see the effects of this step in the coming weeks and months.
